how do you make a pregnancy fly by???

how do you make a pregnancy fly by??? just sleep away the first trimester because you are so super sick. then move from one state to your parents house for six weeks while not knowing if everything is going to fall through on the house you made an offer on, become a home owner on day 31 of a 30 day closing (thank you sellers), get to az with a house to de-junk (bought it furnished) and clean it, paint it, organize it, lay sod, dealing with saws and hammering from workers installing hardwood floors, rip out some bushes and other random yard things. not have insurance or a doctor or a doctor's visit for three weeks ( that's a total of eight weeks without an appt...not comforting after miscarrying at 20 weeks last june) FINALLY feeling settled (just carpet and and painting upstairs to go) AND THEN waking up at 2 AM to a semi-flooded house. live in a hotel for a week and then another week of being confined to the upstairs, and then another week of dealing with contractors, hammering, drilling, ect. AND THEN re-paint, re-organize, re-clean, re-clean, re-clean all while dealing with a toddler...............YES!!! this has been my super fun experience!! The past three weeks have been crazy to say the LEAST!
the awesome green carpet that we are getting re-placed next sat :) jake had white feet for a week from the work going on

jake loving the hotel

our house temp was around 130 degrees for a few days while things dried out

yes, we have replace ALL light fixtures and added some recessed lighting

the cause for this three week disaster..... the backside of the toilet flooded which is right over the kitchen. at 2 am john heard a water leak, like a pipe broke, falling on the tile downstairs. he jumped out of bed and the carpet was already a swamp! i was in a deep sleep and my heart beat didn't slow down for about a hour. john started ripping out carpet and i ran downstairs with about 50 towels and started to clean up the flood. water was dripping everywhere and the ceiling was starting to come down....it was WAY too much to take in at 2 am!! we just had hardwood floors put in but thank heavens there was little damage. SO after all of this i am off to slc and vegas for a MUCH needed vacation :) pics of the final house to come in a few weeks.....
and jake is still the funniest kid i know.... he can count to ten and say all upper and lower case letters.... and he sings the abc song like you wouldn't believe!! he loves every kind of ball and truck and is the BUSIEST little boy, which i love :)

oh my heck, holly! what a nightmare. I can't believe that description. You could make an entire sitcom based around your summer. WOW.
hope things calm down from here...before the little sister comes. :)

Oh it sounds like we have had very similar pregnancies/summers. To top it all off we are moving about a week before I am due. We are headed to Utah in a few days too, hopefully we will see you!

The definite upside is that the pregnancy has flown by!
